Reopened to the public in April 2019, this well established Camden Street Victorian pub was in desperate need of some TLC. The client wanted to take advantage of the outdoor spaces that were not being utilised and the beautiful original shopfront was covered in badly weathered timber painted panels. Our goal was to keep the authentic character and feel of the interior and extend it to the new spaces, work alongside the architects on exposing the original Victorian shopfront and designing a scheme that linked old and new together seamlessly. The end result speaks for itself. It will be a showcase on how the conservation and refurbishment of historical pubs should and can be done successfully.
